Six Degrees - Our World Plus 5°C

Our World Plus 5°C

° Two massive uninhabitable zones could spread into once-temperate regions of the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.
° Snow pack and aquifers that fed some of the world’s great cities — Los Angeles, Cairo, Lima, Bombay — are drying out.
° At plus 5 degrees Celsius, climate refugees would likely number in the tens of millions, and the potential for conflict over scarce resources rises, including in the United States (e.g., water disputes in the Southwest, refugees from hurricanes like Katrina). But, per the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report, poorer countries would be affected disproportionately.
Tomorrow will be the drastic effects if the world's climate increased by 6°C

Indyscott:

I am dissapointed as I love watching the NGC. It is far from proven that man is responsible for the increase in temperature on earth yet your documentaries continually state it as fact. There are too many possible factors to even begin to list all of them in this post. I feel that it is premature and misinforming to potray a theory as fact as you do.

Motek:

Realistical depiction of facts as the National geographic does is indeed THEORYn (Facts),unfortunately too many IDIOTS think that hypotheses (educated guess) is Theory!.It's not their fault!,it's FAULTY EDUCATINAL SYSYTEM,That failed those fools!,Get rid of your Idiotic Republican Government, lest you'll be DUMMER,you DIMWITS!!!.

Eric:

WOW!!

Global warming its happening and is true. Fear it’s what we all need in order to act and bring solutions to the problem, not to seat and complain about the exaggeration in disasters that we think could never be possible.
Eventually it will happen if people don’t collaborate. Let’s all stop being ignorants for a minute and, don’t ignore the problem we are all facing.

Change:

We may or may not be the primary cause, but we ARE contributing to global warming... Besides, the fact that we can do something to lessen these drastic changes should be reason enough to lend a hand. FACT is, we can't know for sure what will happen to us and our world in the future. All this talk could be rubbish, but it could also come and bite us in the ass. Are you willing to take that risk?
